Call and see, you’ll be greeted by a live friendly voice, not a recording with a frustrating "Menu" that tells you everything BUT what you want to hear! That’s what Pacon customers are used to. For over 30 years Pacon has been taking care of its customers with one thing in mind ... get the customer what they need in the least amount of time and with the least amount of hassle. We’ve accomplished this through the efforts of our excellent staff. Like our customers, we treat our people right. Ask any one of our staff and they’ll tell you coming to work is like coming home. PACON INC (formerly Pacon Paper) was founded in 1977 by Robert Austin and two partners Frank Wright, and Harvey Spelman. Today the company is co-owned between father and son Robert and Michael Austin.

Operations in the early years were primarily engaged in the industrial paper industry as a converter. We serviced the baking industry with an assortment of die cut and specialty paper liners. The company’s exposure to flexible packaging in those days was Ham bags and Grape bags using netting purchased from DuPont. What gave the company its initial boost was its development of a wicketing system tailored to the grape bag that made packing the grapes much faster and easier. Sales skyrocketed allowing us to grow the business and purchase our first extruder. Since then the company has grown from its original 3 employees to over 100 and is a major manufacturer in the markets it services.
